For F.H.E. this week, we learned about pretzels; how to make them and what their meanings are. The crossed dough represents folded arms, and the three holes represent the three figures in the Godhead; Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. Sister Smith came and taught us, then we baked them and ate them! YUM!

Mechams, Halls, Kitchens, and McEwans, waiting for the American Fork Steel Day's Parade to come. The participants in the parade threw plenty of candy and the kids had a blast trying to get as much as they could!
It was plenty warm, even at 10 a.m., so popsicles were pulled out by Aunt Melece.
When the band started to come down the street, Tucker and some of the other children thought that it was LOUD!
Our Drummer, ANDY! He is playing the quads for marching band this summer, but he plays all percussion instruments. He even drums on his chest, table, or any thing his hands come in contact with. It is almost as essential as breathing.
On the first float that came by, one of the ladies blew Tucker a kiss. From there on out, he was blowing kisses to ALL of the ladies on floats, and he got plenty of kisses blown back, smiles and waves. He is such a charmer!
Eve and her Aunt Emily (Roland' sister). Aunt Emily caught Eve after she jumped off the diving board (3foot). Eve thought that was pretty special! "Mom did you see me? Emily caught me and I jumped!"

Eve and cousin Riley. Cousin Ethan also came, he and Eve went off the slide multiple times, as long as I or Emily were at the bottom.

Grandpa Ron (Roland's dad) pushing the girls in swings. We visited Ron and his parents, the Mechams this week. The kids loved playing indoors during 10 minutes of rain, and at the park later.

Utah has had quite a few fires this summer. On our way north from Salina to American Fork, we saw these gigantic smoke clouds from the Nebo Fire, mountains by Nephi. The clouds stretched over the mountain range clear to the Provo Mountain area before swinging east. Quite a sight!
Samantha smashed her nose on the trampoline this week. It was quite traumatic for both of us. She was covered in blood and her nose was dripping. Luckily it started to clot quickly, but it also started swelling. Poor girl was pale and not herself for hours, but the good news is that it wasn't broken. Aside from the swelling and initial day of blood dripping, she has done really well. The picture above shows the swelling out into her cheek and below her eyes. The picture below shows that the swelling is going down, but quite the green bruises! I am glad that she was okay.
Mountains near Richfield, UT. I think they are beautiful with the red rock.

Very pretty Cami. Your kids are so cute and you all look like your having such a great time. When are you going home? Please get intouch with me, I would really like to see you if at all possible. Perhaps a day trip or something.
