Good News!

Well, I am very happy to share the information that there has been a stay on the act which was to take effect on Feb. 10.
YES, we are still responsible for selling safe toys and children's products... but the details as to what needs to be tested will be determined during this next year. The rules as to how to be certified as a small business will also be clarified. I am now looking forward to this year as I enjoy selling the bears I love to make for CHILDREN.

FYI SALE!

Just wanted to let all of you in my blog connection world know that the bears I have in my Etsy shop are going to be on sale until the 5th of February.

Why? I am trying to reduce some of my current inventory because of complications with the CPSIA, an act passed regarding the changes in regulating children's items. Many of you have heard from me about this, but in case you haven't, click the link below and find out more. Until ammendments are made, my business will have to have a few adjustments, namely I will need to target the crowd of 13 years and older. Of course my passion is creating bears for children, but I am waiting to see where things go. In the mean time (starting Feb. 10, 2009), the baby items will have to go inactive.

Pierced and Happy

Our girl finally decided that she DID want her ears pierced. I have never pressured my girls, just let them make the choice. She has wanted to, but not wanted to follow through for about 2 years. Now she has some cute little December birthstone studs in her ears and is learning to take care of them. As you can see in the pictures, she is pleased.
